Sioned Williams MS Launches Survey on Disability Benefit Reforms

Sioned Williams MS has launched a new survey focused on welfare reform, specifically targeting the experiences of people with disabilities. This follows recent proposals by the UK Government that could significantly alter eligibility criteria for various social security benefits—potentially making it more difficult for many individuals to access the support they need.

In anticipation of further discussions by the UK Government, Sioned Williams is seeking input from constituents across her region. The aim is to better understand how people are feeling, how they may be affected by the proposed changes, and what forms of support they would like to see in place. This feedback will be used to hold both the Welsh and UK Governments to account.

The survey is available in both English and Welsh, with accessible formats including Easy Read and British Sign Language (BSL) documentation:

Organisations working with individuals who may be directly impacted are encouraged to share this survey widely within their networks.
